Miami Heat is finally the number one seed in the Eastern Conference after defeating the Toronto Raptors 93-83 at the America Airlines Arena.
On the other hand, the Indiana Pacers were getting beat up by the number one team in the NBA, the San Antonio Spurs, 103-77 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. It’s ridiculous how a week of NBA action makes a difference. Last week on Wednesday the Pacers defeated the Heat 84-83 to extend their lead to three games for the number one seed in the Eastern Conference standings.
What changed? Heat has gone on a three game winning streak and Pacers have lost three straight games since March 26th. Heat and Pacers will play again on April 11th at the America Airlines Arena were the number one seed in the Eastern Conference will be at stake.
Pacers lead the season series 2-1 and will definitely try to make a statement against the back-to-back champions, The Miami Heat. The Heat have nine games remaining six of those games will be at the America Airlines Arena. On the other hand, Pacers have seven games remaining and will be motivated to finish off the regular season on a high note.

This potentially could be a matchup of the Eastern Conference Finals but the games have to be played first. The only thing that matters is that the Heat is the number one team in the Eastern Conference by percentage points over the Pacers.
