This year was another success and another year with the hottest performances, YET! Many unexpected winners and many of our favorite artists took a moon man home and proud. This year’s opening was one hell of an opener with Ariana Grande with Break Free (which was out of this world) and then Nicki Minaj with Anaconda (Which was sexy and lots of booty shaking) MAJOR EYE OPENER!!! Jesse J introduction to Bang Bang was on point! These girls were looking sexy and fierce. Talk about girl power! Saturday Night Live performer Jay Pharoah was also a major attraction for the audience on site and at home. His impersonations on Jay-Z and Kanye West (You know Jay Pharoah was perfect on Kanye West because Kim Kardashian West, Kendall, and Kylie were laughing) was too hilarious and perfect! How about Taylor Swift? America’s sweetheart proves she is one great performer. The Glamorous and very sassy look was too *Bing* and that moment when she refused to jump from the huge 1980 sign and decided to take the stairs. That was great and was too funny (If you notice she is going with the clumsy character in her video “Shake it Off”.) Performances from Usher (Nicki Minaj is everywhere) and Maroon 5 were another highlight of the night (Maroon performed Maps!!!). Of course, it’s Adam Levine. Who wouldn’t go crazy for him!? Ok…let me stop dulling. When was the last time we saw Usher and Maroon 5 Performance on the VMAs. Another great performance was Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora for Black Widow. One word: WOW! Iggy is my girl crush for this week on Wednesday. That’s not awkward, right!?
Miley Cyrus does something crazy, but for a good cause. Jesse from The Homeless Youth took her moon man on her behalf for Video of the Year. Sweet and full of wisdom! I would say there was a 30 second memorial slide show of Robin William. RIP to the Genie! And last but not least, Beyoncé closed the show with a breath-taking, sexy, fierce, and amazing performance. When she sang “Blue” that was the tip of the iceberg.
The Queen B proves to us why she deserves the MTV Vanguard Award and why is worth watching on stage. Now besides the awesome and amazing performances here is the list of Winners:
