In Italy, November is the heart of truffle gathering season and this top fall culinary item is celebrated annually at fairs and festivals in central and northern Italy. Wine by the Bay in Downtown Miami will offer its own celebration on Monday, November 18, 2013 at 9:00 p.m. 12 guests will enjoy an elegant, Alba white truffle and Piedmont wine pairing dinner prepared by Chef Allan McLellan.
Each dish will feature the Alba white truffle and perfectly paired as follows:
> 2007 Gaya & Rey Chardonnay paired with scrambled eggs with mascarpone and shaved white truffle.l
> 2000 Single Vineyard Pelissero Barbaresco Annata paired with crostini of steak tartare and shaved white truffle
> 2004 Rinaldi Brunate Barolo (96 + points Robert Parker) paired with homemade egg pappardelle with parmesan cheese and shaved white truffle
> 1999 Rinaldi Cru Barolo (97 points Wine Spectator) paired with braised meet in red sauce.

To help prepare for Thanksgiving, Wine by the Bay will also offer two tastings that demonstrate what wines pair well with turkey and side dishes.
