The Dolphins have released CB Richard Marshall, which many of us would consider a surprising move. The Dolphins saved $4.55 million dollars, with the release of CB Richard Marshall who was expected to battle for starting cornerback position. The move was done for two reasons: A) save money or B) the Dolphins coaching staff believe in Dimirti Patterson or Will Davis more so than Richard Marshall. The Dolphins have CB Jamar Taylor, Nolan Carroll, R.J Stanford, Don Jones, and Julian Posey on the current roster. Furthermore, this a battle that may be decided on the upcoming game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or it may be decided on the last preseason game against New Orleans. Also, the release of Richard Marshall added questions regarding the secondary, who will start on the opposite side of Brent Grimes and will this be a move that will come back to haunt the Dolphins?
