The Miami Dolphins heading to the third preseason game were looking for answers regarding the roster and not any more questions. The Dolphins offense received a major blow, as TE Dustin Keller goes down with apparent leg injury in the second quarter. The tight end from Purdue took a hit from safety D.J Swearinger on his right knee and was reported by ESPN that an MRI would be perform. Ryan Tannehill, showed improvements as he went 5-10 for 141 yards and a TD. During the game it was noticeable that QB Ryan Tannehill and WR Mike Wallace are building chemistry between themselves. WR Mike Wallace had 3 receptions for 58 yards and a TD. It was great to see Tannehill targeting WR Brandon Gibson, who had 2 receptions for 32 yards. The Dolphins running back battle between Daniel Thomas and Lamar Miller is not over, as Thomas had 4 carries for 25 yards and Miller had 5 carries for 10 yards. The Dolphins cornerback Brent Grimes had an opening drive interception off Matt Schaub and it’s clearly stating that the secondary has made improvements. Dolphins first team run defense kept RB Ben Tate in check, which had 4 carries for 12 yards and no touchdown. Second String Quarterback Matt Moore was 3-11 for 15 yards and third string Quarterback Aaron Corp was 2-4 for 23 yards. The Dolphins next preseason game will be on Saturday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, kickoff set at 7:30 pm and week one against Cleveland gets closer.
