La Nota Alternative Ep7 – The Party Never Ends !

This week we didn’t have the web cam. Someone took it home. But no biggie, we went in and broadcasted just the audio. This is an idea we have been throwing around and it seemed like no better time to give it a shot. The truth is some people might not want to watch us or can and would prefer to be able to just listen. With this in mind we here at La Nota are opening a sound cloud account so no one has to be distracted from the music by our cruelish good looks.

OK let’s get to the gigs we saw, the places we went, the music we play, and the people we saw.On Saturday the boys from La Nota had a packed day of ponies, beer, and music.
It all started out with the fantastic idea from Mr. Rendon for us to go to the Florida Derby at Gulfstream. This being the biggest race in the state it was only appropriate that we crash it. Alex had some wardrobe issues in the beginning (a white linen jacket and cabana boy pedophile look I thought was best he leave for another occasion lol). Alex came in strong at the beginning hitting his first bet and making some dough.

After that the horses told us to F off and decided not play well with us. 4 hours later and in the hole like Saddam we made our exit. On our way out we came across Doc Reno of WBGG 105.9 and I also came across Jeff Deforest of 940 WINZ.Instead of just leaving we ran over to Playwright’s Irish pub and slammed down a couple more pints of god’s nectar and after that we were ready to hit the parking lot in search for area P5 where our chariot was located.

After minimal searching we arrived at the ride and headed out to the New Times Beerfest at Huzienga Park in Fort Lauderdale. For a full review of the event check out Alex’s article on our FB page. It had been rumored that Iggy Pop was going to show up around midnight at the Poor House in downtown FLL. Well, it was all an elaborate hoax. Iggy never showed and Travis a contributor to the New Times that wrote the juicy piece of gossip was the one to show up in full Iggy pop regalia. Good thing we didn’t stick around.

Now let’s get this kicking with the shows we feel you should go check out this week:
